Hrishitaa Bhatt first caught our attention with Asoka in 2001. The film, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor, did noticeably better outside of India than inside. But it has to be said, she’s been through a pretty low phase in her acting career since then.
However, with her hot new look, things are looking up at last and you can expect to see her sizzling across the screens in films like Cheere and Idiot Box later this year. “When I first entered Bollywood, I was very young. Nothing was planned, one thing led to another and things just happened. But life has come full circle - after going through a spate of flops, things are looking up now.”
Does she ascribe this to her brand new image? “For quite sometime I wanted to change my image from a seedhi-saadhi girl to a glamorous woman,” she explains, “The process of change started last year. Now I am ready to take on the world in my new avatar. Just watch out for my hot looks. To be honest, I haven’t really put in a lot of effort to achieve this. I just went back to basics to achieve this cute and sexy look.”
Hrishitaa, who was educated at Trinity College, the famous Performing Arts college in London, appeared in Heyy Babyy last year and performed an item number in My Name is Anthony Gonsalves this year.
